New and updated route for 2025! Join us on an expedition cruise from Kangerlussuaq to Reykjavík, as we watch the skies for the northern lights. Experience North, West, South and East Greenland, from the bustling mini-metropolis of Nuuk to the spectacular glaciers of Skjoldungen all in one unique voyage!

Join us on a captivating expedition cruise that begins deep in the fjords of West Greenland and takes you on an unforgettable journey through this Arctic paradise as the northern lights dance overhead. Setting out from the Arctic Circle town of Kangerlussuaq, we maximise our chances to see the best of the Autumn northern lights as the midnight sun ends, and darkness returns to the Arctic.

Our first stop is in the village of Kangaamiut, a great spot to connect with local culture and traditions and experience life in small-town Greenland, before sailing to the breathtaking mountains and glaciers of Evighedsfjord.

From here, we sail to Greenland's colourful capital city, Nuuk, where seal hunts meet skyscrapers, a blend of ancient and modern styles, full of Greenlandic and international influences. Our voyage sails onwards to the lush green fields and rolling hills of South Greenland, a region that inspired the Norse to give this island its famous name. In this picturesque landscape, we will visit the ancient remains of Brattahlíð, Viking Lord Erik the Red's former farmstead in Qassiarsuk, and trek through the countryside to Igaliku, once the seat of the Norse Bishops of Greenland.

From here, we will sail through the glacier-lined channel of Prins Kristiansund, undoubtedly one of the most magnificent waterways on Earth. Our next destination is the pristine Skjoldungen Fjord, where we’ll experience the perfect silence and glassy waters of Greenland’s southeast coast. From there, we continue north to the icy majesty of Sermilikfjord, one of the country’s most breathtaking sights, before visiting the wartime relics of Ikateq, a time capsule to the Cold War. In the bustling towns of Kuummiut and Tasiilaq, we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant Tunumiit culture, explore the vibrant colours of the Autumn tundra, and experience warm Greenlandic hospitality.

As we trace the path of the Norse settlers beneath the northern lights, we will reach Reykjavík, where our journey comes to a close. Having followed the spectacular maritime route that has connected these lands for over a thousand years, we conclude our adventure in comfort aboard our purpose-built expedition ship—offering luxury that far surpasses the humble Viking longships of old.
