Albatros Expeditions

Exploring the seven seas since 1994

Our ships

Our expedition cruise ships have been carefully selected to provide the ultimate expedition experience in polar regions.

The main focus of an expedition cruise is the experience of nature and culture on the route. For this purpose, small ships have a distinct advantage over larger ships as they have better access to the shore and can sail into deep fjord systems, between icebergs and into remote waters.

Albatros Expeditions' fleet of cruise ships are relatively small compared to traditional cruise ships. Our excellent ice-class expedition vessels are all built to tackle the extreme weather conditions of sailing in polar waters, while ensuring your comfort in well-appointed accommodations. Shore landings and exploration is done with greater speed and efficiency from each vessels fleet of Zodiac watercraft.

Aboard, life is relaxed and cozy. Meals are preared by professional chefs and served by friendly, helpful staff. Crews are professionally trained and speak a variety of languages. You will probably be surprised that throughout your journey, our attentive staff will already know your suite number and quite possibly your name. With a high staff to guest ratio and excellent facilities aboard our small expedition ships, it's easy to understand why the level of service is so expectional.
