Enjoy the immense beauty of Svalbard on this "express" Arctic adventure cruise among whales, walruses, polar bears and millions of sea birds. Experience high summer in the Arctic with Ocean Albatros - one of the few ice-class expedition ships built to withstand the Arctic pack ice.

Embark on an incredible journey as you traverse through icy waters and landscapes in seven action-packed days. Get ready to explore and discover the unique ecology of this mountainous and glacier-clad island - and experience the true majesty of the high Arctic.

As we cruise up to 80 degrees north, we will get as close as possible to the pack ice north of Svalbard - a constantly shifting wilderness of ice and sea which stretches to the North Pole and beyond. This far north, everything is governed by the sea, wind and ice conditions - your expedition leader and Captain will work hard to fid the best conditions and opportunities to explore.

Onboard Ocean Albatros you will experience areas of Svalbard not easily accessible by any other means of exploration as we carefully navigate around this breathtaking archipelago. Our fleet of Zodiacs allow us to have frequent shore landings and embark on exploratory mini cruises in the fjords and glacial landscapes. From historical sites, to glacier fronts, to remote lonely beaches, no area is off limits to us!

During the short Arctic summer, wildlife such as reindeer and polar foxes are busy amassing energy for the brutal polar winter. Cliffs shimmer with life as every surface is populated with countless birds - Arctic guillemots, fulmars and razorbills can be observed fishing in our ship's wake. On the sandy shores, huge walruses bask in the midnight sun, and whales and seals forage along the edge of the pack ice. On the ice itself, we may even see the king of the Arctic, the polar bear, on its never-ending search for prey.

Showcasing the highlights of Svalbard in just seven action-packed days, this is an experience not to be missed. Experience with us!
