Your Arctic expedition cruise will thoroughly acquaint you with wondrous ice wildernesses, bringing out your inner explorer as you tour colossal glacier fronts, dazzling berg-filled bays, and shorelines surrounded by towering, snow-swept mountains!

The idea of this trip is to have a blast (obviously) but also to not have to worry about the small details on your own - we’ll take care of everything so that you can relax, focus on yourself, and enjoy your time here. Keep in mind that there will be plenty of “me” time so you can take advantage of the beautiful cruise in-between all the fun we will have! 

The departures are all-inclusive (excluding alcohol) which means that Albatros Expeditions will take care of meals, accommodation, shuttles between the airport & ports, etc., and is suited for all types of travellers of all ages - solo, couples, adventurists, aspiring photographers and bloggers alike! You will join a small, intimate group (max 170 people on board) and it will be a fantastic way to make new friends and share the experience with. We are Claudia & Kaan, and we operate the popular luxury travel & lifestyle Instagram and Blog called "the lost two." Whether we're chasing down waterfalls in the jungles of. Bali, frolicking along the beaches of a five-star property in the Maldives, or chasing down the world's biggest glaciers down in Antarctica, our mission remains the same - to inspire you to get out there and explore this beautiful world that we're so lucky to call home!

  • Why do we want to invite you to travel with Albatros Expeditions?

It's been a career-long goal of ours to get members of our audience together in real-life and have them come experience some of the incredible places that our job takes us. Our first attempt at this was three years ago when we planned a group trip to Bali but due to the pandemic, all of those plans were cancelled. It will be a fantastic opportunity not just for our audience to experience a trip unlike any other, but also for them to ask us questions and improve their photography/social-media skills if of course, that is what they are after. We strongly believe that we've attracted a collection of like-minded individuals so there will be lots in common between all attendees, which will make the trip even more fun/amazing!

  • What is an expedition cruise?

Our voyages are carefully designed to engage your heart, mind, and spirit throughout the journey. For this reason, each program includes days full of activities such as Zodiac excursions and landings at various locations. We also offer activities such as kayaking, hiking, and snowshoeing as well as onboard activities while at sea, such as lectures, workshops, and wildlife spotting. 

  • What is included? Do I have to pay for any extras?

The price above is per person in American Dollars. It includes charter flights between Oslo-Longyerbyen-Oslo, accommodation in sea-view cabins, full board, unlimited tea and coffee, daily shore landings, lectures, and boot rentals. Flight tickets besides Oslo-Longyerbyen-Oslo, pre-departure accommodations, optional excursions, and hotel gratuities are not included. (If not stated otherwise in "Inclusions")

  • What are the COVID requirements?

We no longer require guests to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or to test negative for Covid-19 to join voyages onboard the vessels of Albatros Expeditions. Please read our complete Covid Policy here. 

  • Does the trip include airfares?

We appreciate that people traveling to polar regions are big travelers, and many visitors often add on a trip around the regions and travel for a much longer time. As such, we are offering this as a cruise-only trip. In certain departures to Svalbard and Greenland, we offer a charter flight (see "Inclusions" of the specific departures for more info")

  • How many people will be on board?

The maximum capacity of our X-bow vessel is 174 but we sail with an average of 169 people on board. This allows us to provide a true small-scale-expedition experience, with an industry-leading 1:8 guide-to-guest ratio. 

  • Can I book with a travel agent?

You are welcome to do so, however, the price through the partnership with Kaan & Claudia is a special, last-minute offer and cannot be combined with any other offers.
